A Word from the Chief . . .

I believe we must be united in our efforts if we hope to reduce crime within our communities.  If more people “take ownership,” our chances of solving, fighting, and preventing crime will be increased.  By ownership, I mean that citizens take steps to protect their own property and to help protect the property of their neighbors.

Individual and group efforts in this area can always be increased to safeguard our families and neighborhoods.

The deputies, detective and Chief must each do their part, and the County Prosecutor must be on board.  The Edgewood City Council, businesses and schools also play a significant role.  Ownership goes beyond crime.  It also involves being there for one another in an emergency.
