The City’s Comprehensive Plan is an important document that contains the City’s land use goals and policies that guide how growth and development occurs within the City. This Comprehensive Plan is subject to ongoing review and evaluation for consistency. The Growth Management Act limits updates to the plan to once a year (there are some exceptions) in order to allow citizens to have meaningful participation in reviewing any proposed changes.
