National-Night-Out

Check back summer of 2020 to join over 38 million people from approximately 17,000 communities across the U.S. turning on their outside lights and spending the evening outdoors enjoying block parties, cookouts, flashlight walks, and visits from local police and fire departments.

National Night Out is designed to:

  1. Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
  2. Generate participation in anti-crime programs such as Neighborhood Crime Watch
  3. Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships
  4. Send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and will not tolerate illegal activity

If you’re interested in celebrating National Night Out in your neighborhood, be sure to register your event with the Edgewood Police Department by filling in the form below, that way we can arrange for an officer to stop by and visit you at your event on August 6th.
