Public Comment Period is Now Open

The City of Edgewood has issued the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the proposed Prologis Park Edgewood project. The 45-day public comment period for this DEIS will remain open until September 1, 2025, at 5pm. Agencies, tribes, organizations, and members of the public are invited to comment on the DEIS. Comments should focus on the substance of the DEIS and be as specific as possible. Comments may be submitted in the following ways:

Prologis, Inc. (the applicant) proposes to construct up to 986,000 square feet (sf) of High-Cube Fulfillment Center Warehouse and/or Industrial Park in up to four (4) buildings on approximately 87.7 acres with associated site improvements (roads, utilities, parking, stormwater facilities, etc.). Access to the site is proposed from Valley Avenue NW at 42nd Street Court East, where a new public roadway is proposed to run west to east through the development on the north side of the Union Pacific Railroad. Environmentally critical area impacts to Wapato and Simons Creeks and associated wetlands and buffers are expected. Sanitary sewer and watermain extensions are proposed from Puyallup and Fife to serve the project. The DEIS analyzed the following elements:

  • Economic and Social Policy

Next Steps in the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) Environmental Impact Study (EIS) Process:

Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS)
Following the DEIS comment period, a FEIS will be prepared, which includes analyzing and responding to all comments received on the DEIS and may include additional studies and modeling to evaluate probable impacts not adequately analyzed in the DEIS. Notice will be provided when the FEIS is issued to SEPA agencies and interested parties and information from the DEIS will be used in decision making.
